5 Tips for Building Meaningful Connections as a 3MTT Fellow
Hey Techies!
As a 3MTT fellow, forming strong connections with your peers goes beyond enhancing your career prospects. These relationships enrich your learning experience, contribute to both personal and professional growth, and play a pivotal role in your success within the program.
The ability to cultivate strong, positive relationships with fellow fellows is a skill that complements your technical expertise. It’s a cornerstone of not only advancing in your career but also finding fulfillment and satisfaction throughout your fellowship journey.
5 Tips for Building Meaningful Connections as a 3MTT Fellow
Be Genuine: Authenticity is the foundation of any meaningful connection. Be yourself and show a sincere interest in getting to know your peers.
Participate in community activities and events: Whether it’s a casual meetup, a collaborative project, or a program-wide event, engaging in social activities helps break the ice and strengthens bonds within your fellowship.
Offer Help and Support: “It is in giving that we receive” ~ St. Francis of Assisi. Offering assistance and being there for your peers creates a supportive network that benefits everyone.
Show Appreciation: Acknowledging and appreciating your peers’ efforts fosters a positive environment. A simple thank you can have a big impact.
Respect Boundaries: While building friendships is important, it’s equally crucial to respect professional boundaries and the personal space of others.
